Okoth argues that some brothels operating illegally are being run by well known wealthy individuals.

The MP observes that social moral values of young people are being eroded by mushrooming sex dens and brothels.

The lawmaker states that the brothels have trapped young people who are using their hard earned livelihood to entertain themselves.

"It is a matter of serious concern and relevant agencies must step in  and guanratee safety of our young generation," he said when he met youths in Kibera on Saturday.

The MP claimed that wealthy individuals are exposing young people to bad things to get rich.

Sex trade is rife in some parts of Kibera where also sex dens and brothels freely operate.

Unemployment, poor parenting and poverty are some of the reasons why young people are being lured into commercial sex and illicit sexual activities in Kibera.

Some of the sex dens are allegedly being operated by foreigners.

Last week, the government arrested and deported 15 Chinese nationals on suspicions of engaging in prostitution in South C.
