Parents of a section of the 2018 KCSE candidates protested demanding to know the fate of 150 Kapkenda Girls students results were withheld by the Kenya National Examination Council.
Education Cs Amina Mohamed released the 2018 results for 663,811 students who did their secondary level final exams but Kapkenda Girls school results never featured.
The parents and guardians thronged school compound in huff knackering the principal and blaming teachers.
“We did our work and we expected good results for our children to proceed with their education,” a parent sought anonymity lamented.
According to the report from KNEC, the students colluded in their final exams last year, the reason that their results were not released due to significant malpractices marred the examination.
Speaking to hivisasa.com, Deputy Principal Odemo Karo pointed out that a section of students has received their results. She held that some results are not pleasing at all and that the management is still making follow up with the concern examination council.
“A section of students have gotten their results though, with mixed fortunes, we are still checking up with the KNEC so far though I don’t want to reveal a lot about it,” said Karo assuring that all will be settled. She urged parents to allow children to repeat.
Parents are stranded insisting the KNEC to come out clear for the sake of their hopeless children feared for their dreams to dwindle.
