On Friday, the apex court ruled that Kolosh was not validly elected in the August 8, 2017, general election.

The Supreme Court ruled that failure by IEBC to compute results of KARA polling station means that the election result could have favored both candidates.

It has ordered the IEBC to conduct a fresh election in Wajir West within 90 days.

In 2018, the High Court sitting in Nairobi nullified Kolosh's election on grounds that it was not free and fair.

The MP then appealed the High Court ruling in the Court of Appeal.

The Court of Appeal then reinstated his victory forcing the petitioner to move to the apex court.

The appeal against Kolosh victory was filed by Abdiraham Ibrahim Mohamed.
