Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa has landed in trouble with a section netizens after she altered a gospel song in praise of Deputy President William Ruto.
The legislator had accompanied DP Ruto to Bumula, Bungoma county.
In a video shared on Facebook, Jumwa showed off her singing skills as she sang a rendition of a common Swahili Christian hymn 'hakuna wa kufanana nawe', but this time to shower praises for Ruto.
The vocal MP was referring to the DP's development track record in building roads among others.
A number of Kenyans, however, expressed their disappointment on how gospel songs had been turned to praise fellow politicians.
A section of Facebook users termed the move as disrespectful to God.
