Mwau notes that Kibwana has the leadership qualities and tactics to spearhead the country’s development agenda.

She says Kenyans will not regret if Kibwana succeeds President Kenyatta in 2022.

In an interview with a local Kamba radio station on Thursday, the Makueni deputy governor said her boss is a visionary leader who has the interests of the people at heart.

“Kibwana is my boss at the county government and he is the person who can drive the change Kenyans have been yearning for many years if given chance,” Mwau said.

Mwau said Kibwana might not have the numbers or popularity but his development record speaks for itself.

She said Makueni has achieved her development objectives courtesy of Kibwana’s people-centered approach to development.

Kibwana has been voted as the best performing governor in terms of development.

A section of Kenyans is now piling pressure on the governor to contest for the presidential seat in 2022.

A campaign to have Kibwana on the presidential ballot in 2022 is being spearhead by Kenyans on social media.

A month ago, Kibwana was quoted saying that he can contest for the presidential seat so long as he is guaranteed of support.

The Makueni county boss is a close ally of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and is said to be backing the former Vice President’s 2022 presidential bid.
