A section of women have claimed that Governor John Nyagarama is a disgrace to the people of Nyamira.
Led by Eunice Bonareri, they said Nyagarama has failed to end the ongoing health workers’ strike which has paralyzed operations across all public health centers in the region.
“Governor Nyagarama is a total disgrace to the people of Nyamira County.
"The ongoing health workers’ strike has affected children especially those being taken to clinic to get vitamin injections. Nyagarama should pack and go home for failing to deliver,” she said.
Catherine Moige condemned Nyagarama for giving deaf ears to people’s calls to end health workers’ strike.
“We elected a governor who is only interested in earning salary and not providing quality services for the benefit of people in deep villages.
"Ongoing nurses and doctors strike must come to an end for the poor people to continue getting proper health services at public health centers,” said Moige.
Nancy Ong’uti urged Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi to wake up and articulate issues affecting women and children.
