As you age, the people around you begin pressuring you to find a spouse and settle down. But what if it all goes wrong? What if you are never able to find that special someone who you can spend the rest of your life with?
What if you never find true love? Sounds pretty awkward but it sometimes happens. Many people have failed to love themselves, let alone love someone else.
But what really happens? Well, here are some rather 'subtle' things that will keep you from finding true love.
1. Desperation
When you are desperate, you will never find true love. Not everyone that comes along is suitable for you. If you take them in, you will realise that, in some senses, that they are never meant to be and you will walk away. Or, a worse case scenario is that they will dump you under unknown circumstances. True love is worth the wait. You can't force it to exist where it can't find a home.
2. Stereotyping
Not everyone is the same. Just because you were hurt by someone does not mean that everyone who comes along is just exactly the same. You should give people a chance. Let them prove that they are not the same as the one that hurt you.
3. Overthinking about your ex
For you to be able to move on and find true love, you have to really move on from your ex. Your past has nothing to offer you and you can't waste your time revisiting it.
4. Sex
Well, if you think everyone that comes along is a sex object or a sex predator, you are never going to find true love. Your relationships should not be about sex only.
