After the defending champions lost 2-0 to South Korea on Wednesday, Kuria took to Facebook where he posted a photo of opposition leader Raila Odinga being handed a Germany World Cup jersey by Nation Media Group CEO Stephen Gitagama.

The post elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans, with some accusing the MP of focusing on non-issues.

Here are some of their reactions:

"RAO said he will support Germany. He didn't say Germany will win World cup. I am sure Moses Kuria is waiting for the winner to declare the team he was supporting," said Patrick Kariuki.

"You are an MP, debate serious matters affecting Kenyans; NYS, sugar scandal and barons, lifestyle audit etc why get so petty?" Evans Ongeri asked.

"Germany’s World Cup loss to Korea is a desperate attempt to divert attention from the lifestyle audit debate! Tuko Macho, Tangawizi side ought to know this!" Adam Bille said.

"This shows your thinking capacity is below zero because you’re focusing on nonsense when Kenyans have a lot of problems," Phineas Qaryth said.

"You need to post serious things like how far you have gone with your Coffee bill not this kind of nonsense," Erick Young commented.

"Mose, did you screenshot this just in case Germany lost? You're a special breed," Edward Ndirangu posted.

"MK sometimes you go out of context......Respect the handshake!" Muriuki Paul commented.

“It's the same Raila who supported Kibaki 2002 and brought a new dawn to Kenyans, I know you can't appreciate this but he did it,” said Shadrack Muthaura Karish.

“Respect the handshake ama utuambie ur no more supporting Uhuru agenda we find out someone who will well fit in Uhuru shoes,” posted Ritho Douglas.

“Moses Kuria you should style up and be a grown-up person, you don't want to push for lifestyle audit you are only concentrating on nonsense things,” said Wilfred Nyaema.

"Moses Kuria...I thought after handshake u would shun cheap ...un constructive posts which are not helping us in any way,” said Philip Munyori DjKrist.

“Without kutusi baba hauna agenda ingine Moses? I sometimes like you but on this one you have failed me. please pursue agenda ya coffee na tea. You started with alot of zeal,” said John Wang’ombe.
