Nyamira County Senator Okong'o Omogeni has mounted more pressure on Governor John Nyagarama, insisting that he has been slow in service delivery.
While speaking on Sunday when he attended a funeral at Nyantaro in Bosamaro, Nyamira County, blamed Mr Nyagarama over continued attacks directed to him.
"I'm being criticized by rivals because Nyagarama is not performing. Let the county chief work to meet the expectation of the people of Nyamira," he said.
Okong'o confirmed that he will not condone misuse of development funds in the county.
"Mismanagement of public funds meant for development by a section of few individuals must stop in Nyamira. Nyagarama must ensure the funds sent by the national government are used appropriately," he added.
The vocal politician regretted that some local leaders have started early 2022 campaigns instead of giving humble time to 2017 elected leaders to serve the electorates.
He warned local politicians against engaging in retrogressive politics saying Nyamira people should be united.
"The electorates should live peace. Individuals working hard to divide our people along political lines with the aim of chasing political fame belong to jail," said the opposition allied senator.
