Speaking on Radio Jambo Wednesday evening, Muchomba faulted Odinga's ongoing political romance with President Uhuru Kenyatta, noting that it has weakened the country.

He attributed the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader's incorporation into the government to the many waves hitting the nation currently, including the contraband sugar import saga.

According to Muchomba, Raila's latest moves have killed the opposition, leaving Kenyans with no one to aid them in keeping the government in check.

"Tunapokuwa bila upinzani inakuwa vigumu kwa nchi kusimama na ndio maana juzi hata tumeletewa sukari mbaya maana hatuna upande wa pili wa kutusaidia (its disadvantageous when we do not have an opposition, it renders the nation vulnerable)," she said.

She further faulted Odinga's diplomatic assignments lately, the latest being his ongoing visit in India which on Tuesday saw him hold talks with Indian Premier Nahendra Modi.

According to Muchomba, Raila is considered the leader of the majority in the nation and should stick to the same, cautioning that his seeming disconnection from the opposing side might soon result to a public outcry.

"Wakenya wanahitaji mtetezi lakini anayefaa kuwatetea ashapanda ndege yuko India. Tukiendelea hivi miaka mitatu wakenya wataanza kulalamika (it's not good that he opted to leave for India. It this continues, it could result to lamentations from Kenyans)," she added.

Odinga's seeming inclusion into government follows his March 9 truce with Uhuru, which saw them pledge to collaborate.
