Peter Kenneth and the former Gichugu MP Martha Karua have become the latest topic of discussion in the various social media platforms. The duo sparked online debates after they addressed the media on Wednesday together with a section of Mt Kenya leaders.
With disparaging tweets, netizens recounted the fact that the two are election losers with a section alleging the duo were taking advantage of the cracks in Jubilee party.
For instance, a user going by the name Jackson Arunga jokingly opined that he though governor Sonko had resigned and handed over power to Peter Kenneth.
"When I saw Peter Kenneth and Sonko trending, I thought Sonko had resigned and handed the mantle to Kenneth as successor and Raphael Tuju had welcomed the idea..." he Arunga commented in part.
Another user, David West, commented that 'Mshenzi' was the new title in town and that Karua and Kenneth were the new 'Washenzi' in the hood.
Similarly, a good number of netizens also poked holes on the presser wondering why the duo were calling on pressers to speak on behalf of the Mount Kenya leaders.
"...you better speak as mt Kenya rejects not leaders, we can listen to someone like Kabogo, he was once the president of Kiambu county," posted a user by the name Mark Davies.
