Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Najib Balala and Environment Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko arrived in Kisumu yesterday evening to attend the Regional Tourism Stakeholders forum which is slated for today.
According to Kisumu County Executive Committee (CEC) Member for Tourism, Arts, Sports and Culture Achie Ojany Alai, CS Balala alongside his Environment counterpart and Cabinet Secretary without portfolio Raphael Tuju will be attending the stakeholders meeting at the Acacia Premier Hotel, from 2 PM.
Before the meeting, CS Balala will asses various tourism sites in the Lakeside County among them Dunga Board Walk, Impala Sanctuary and Kit Mikayi.
On his arrival, he was welcomed by Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo and his Kisumu West Counterpart John Olago Oluoch.
This morning, together with CS Keriako Tobiko, they paid a courtesy call on Kisumu Governor Professor Anyang' Nyong'o and later gave a press brief on product development in the lake region and Western Tourism Circuit at large.
CS Raphael Tuju who doubles up as Jubilee Party Secretary-General is among other leaders who attended the meeting this morning.
