This follows the MPs utterances that were targeting Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaking to the press in Eldoret town on Monday, the farmers led by the county's director of Kenya Farmers Association (KFA) Kipkorir Menjo said Keter has a right to move to any part of the country.

“As farmers from this region, we condemn the utterances by our local leaders threatening to bar Keter from entering this county. Such sentiments are uncalled for," said Menjo after a meeting with farmers.

The farmers noted that Keter together with Moiben MP Silas Tiren have been on the forefront defending their interests, unlike other leaders who have remained mum as farmers suffer.

“Keter and Tiren are the only leaders who have been fighting for the farmers and as farmers, we welcome the Nandi Hills MP to visit this county anytime he wishes," insisted Menjo.

Keter has been on the receiving end from politicians allied to DP Ruto following his purported onslaught against his 2022 presidential ambitions.

He had earlier warned Kenyans against electing the DP while only recently he posted on his Facebook page saying he would not allow a thief to ruin the country, sentiments that have been seen as targeting the second in command.
