Among the 32 are five experts and four protected witnesses.

Speaking when she appeared before Justice John Wakiaga on Tuesday, Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Catherine Mwaniki noted that the case will make use of photographs and digital evidence.

Ms Maribe and her fiancé Jowie were charged with the murder of city businesswoman Monica Kimani, who was killed in her house at Lamuria Apartments in Kilimani on September 19, 2018.

Her body was discovered in her bathtub, with both her hands and legs tied up while her throat was slit with a sharp object.

The deceased had landed in Nairobi from Juba where she was running her family business and was expected to fly to Dubai before she met her untimely death.

While Maribe was released on bond, Jowie still remains in custody. While making the ruling on Jowie's bond, Justice Wakiaga noted that his speciality in handling weapons could be a threat to witnesses.

Jowie has however made an application for the bail terms to be reviewed and Justice Wakiaga is set to make a ruling on the same on June 18, 2019.

The trial will begin on July 25, 2019.
