Detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) have nabbed six officials of the Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) over procurement crimes.

The six were nabbed after the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) issued a green light for their arrest and prosecution on May 6.

The group was arrested in connection to procurement irregularities regarding a tender for renovation of the authority's stand, at the Agriculture Society of Kenya (ASK) show.

Those arrested were; Vincent Ngundi (Tender Committee Member), Philip Kiplagat (Tender Committee Member), Jane Jeptanui Rotich (Tender Committee Member), Leo Kibet Boruet (Tender Committee Member), Stanley Kibe (Tender Committee Member) and Joyce Nyambache Osinde (Assistant Director and Head of Procurement).

Reports on the Standard indicate that EACC is also looking for the authority's secretary John Omo, former Director of Consumer and Public Affairs, Mutua Muthusi, and Peris Nkonge (Tender Committee Member).
