Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui is on Wednesday launched a county courtesy bus.
The action attracted criticism on social media as residents question whether it is a priority to Nakuru County residents.
Residents said the governor should focus on launching projects that will benefit the mwananchi and secure his legacy.
However, Governor Kinyanjui is not the only politician launching such projects; history has it that many politicians have a tendency of launching funny projects without thinking whether such projects have an impact on common mwananchi.
Here are just some of the weird projects that have been launched by very political leaders in the country.
Footbridge
Former Governor of Kirinyaga County Joseph Ndathi once infamously launched a footbridge.
Cattle dip
Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto flew his helicopter to launch a cattle dip worth Sh5000.
DStv Commissioning
In March 2015 Gideon Mwiti MP Central Imenti decided to officially commission a DStv installation complete with a plaque during a fundraiser in his constituency.
Mud houses
The then Vihiga County Governor Moses Akaranga officially opened mud houses in his constituency complete with a ribbon for him to cut.
Electricity transformer:
Maara South Member of Parliament was also spotted launching an electricity transformer in his constituency.
Gate
Former Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero once walked across the road from his office at City Hall to launch the new KICC gate and thereafter addressed a press conference.
Toilets
Former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua was once criticized for launching a toilet in Elburgon.
Kenyans were also shocked to see President Uhuru Kenyatta launch public toilets in Machakos.
