City lawyer Nelson Havi has joined the dams scandal debate claiming that the ongoing purge has no direction apart from chest thumbing with no arrests being made.
Havi likened the matter to the cases that befell the Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu and former Judicial Service Commission (JSC) member Prof Tom Ojienda.
The lawyer stated that he is convinced beyond reasonable doubt that the claims of money being lost in the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandals is mere rhetorics and untrue.
"I am convinced no money was lost in the dam scandal," he tweeted.
He added that if there was any amount of money lost, then the police could have arrested the suspects and charged on the very first day of questioning.
"If there was any lost, the suspects would have been charged on the first day they were questioned as was the case for DCJ Mwilu and Prof Ojienda," he added.
He asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Director of Public Prosecution to close the file just like the Ruaraka land case since there is no case even if they proceed probing people.
"Let the file be closed like Ruaraka land. War on corruption is over," he exclaimed.
The lawyer's remarks could spark another dimension of the investigation since the dams have no specified ministry it lies undergoing by the recent undertakings in which the CS Devolution Eugene denied being in his jurisdiction.
