Police in Mageta, Siaya County, are holding a murder suspect accused of killing a man he ambushed with his 16-year-old daughter.
John Odhiambo is alleged to have beaten Benson Onyango to death after he found him with his primary school daughter.
The suspect reportedly landed on the 24-year-old man with the intention of punishing him before he fell down dead at Sika Beach in Bondo sub-county.
According to Mageta Location Chief Ambrose Ogema, the furious man received information that the girl was with the deceased after going missing for a whole day.
He was notified that she was in Onyango’s house and when he attacked, the young man fell unconscious and died, reports the Citizen Digital.
The administrator added that the suspects attempts to flee were unsuccessful as area residents captured and handed him over to the law enforcers.
The body of the deceased was moved to the Bondo Sub-County Hospital Mortuary pending autopsy as investigations continue.
