Deputy President William Ruto's allies insists the populous Central Kenya region owes him political debate even as divisions persist in the ruling party.

At All-Saints Cathedral however on Sunday, Ruto insisted that the region does not owe him anything.

"There is no community which owes another. Just like me, I don't owe anyone," he said.

Pundits claim that the song was released to incite Kikuyu community against backing Ruto in 2022.

But Water CS Samson Cherugui on Sunday insisted that the artist should be arrested for provoking emotions.

"It was sang in bad faith. The artist should be arrested. We all know that Ruto has supported President Uhuru Kenyatta twice," he said.

Keiyo South MP David Rono added: "The Central region owes Ruto. These songs won't change anything because we all know that they pledged Ruto support."

A fought night ago, a section of Kikuyu Council of Elders insisted that Ruto should retire.

A resilient Ruto however, is keen for alliances in the Coast and Western regions should Central Kenya abandon him.
