South Mugirango Member of Parliament Sylvanus Osoro noted that he has been insulted several times over his association with the movement.

"It has not been well ever since I joined the movement. I wish to assure voters that I may after all dump the group so that I concentrate on my work as MP," Osoro said.

Mr Osoro, who is serving his first term as MP after successfully being elected on Kenya National Congress (KNC) Party ticket, said locals should not perceive him as an enemy.

"Once I dump Tangatanga movement, I don't know what excuse my rivals will have since they have been taking advantage of me because of my association with the group."

Across Gusii, Osoro has been leading pro-Ruto campaigns, a move that has seen him isolated by a section of his constituents.

Osoro was speaking on Monday at Tabaka when he hosted Mining Cabinet Secretary John Munyes and other Kisii elected leaders during a soapstone stakeholders meeting.
