Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has been asked to transfer current police officers operating in Ogembo and Nyamache areas.
Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Simba Arati while addressing a crowd at Ogembo area on Saturday accused security officers of misusing guns.
The Gusii community spokesman vowed that he will be at the front line to ensure the current officers and their bosses are transferred from the area.
"I am begging Matiang'i to take away the current police officers who have been harassing our people on grounds that they are flushing out criminals. I will not rest until the police bosses and their juniors are kicked out," Arati said.
He expressed confidence that CS Matiang'i will not ignore his calls to transfer the officers.
"Residents are currently living in fear because the officers have been shooting unarmed innocent people carelessly. It is high time Matiang'i acted to ensure new police officers are deployed to protect our people and property," the MP added.
He called on elected leaders across the Gusii region be defenders of the electorates.
Arati also dismissed claims that he lacks respect for Gusii leaders.
