In a video shared by Nairobi governor Mike Sonko on his Facebook page, the world’s strongest man can be seen preparing for the big event, which to him seemed like a walk in the park.

Surprised locals can be seen staring at Zyrunas Savickas as he straps himself up. He then proceeds to take an official photo with some sports officials before walking over to the heavy fire engine.

With a single rope tied on the stationary fire engine vehicle, Zyrunas Savickas tethers himself at the waist and back. He then tests if they have been fixed well as he awaits to start pulling the vehicle.

He then starts to pull the truck. Eyewitnesses can’t believe it. They start to cheer and clap as Mr Savickas pulls the truck through some length.

A panting Savickas full of excitement then stops to celebrate his progress with his hands high in the air. He greets some officials who thank him for coming.

“I invite everybody to come tomorrow to watch Kenyan Strongest Man and we’ll have a lot of fun,” he says.

The 43-year-old from Lithuania graced Kenya’s Strongest Man competition at the Nyayo Stadium Handball Court last month.
