Speaking on Wednesday morning during an interview at Radio Citizen's Jambo Kenya show, Onyonka said his rivals failed to win the election and therefore they should keep off the constituency until 2022.

"I want to tell my rivals that I will not open my ears and listen to their criticism. I beat my rivals because of my strategies and development ideas which I sold to the electorates. As far as I am concerned, I'm serving the people of Kitutu Chache South as required," he said.

The Ford Kenya MP challenged residents to shun local politicians who are dwelling so much on politics based on hatred and propaganda.

He maintained that he will not succumb to unnecessary criticism because the people of Kitutu Chache South gave him the opportunity to represent them at the National Assembly.

"As an MP in Kitutu Chache South, I have put all my energies to improve roads, improve infrastructure in schools using funds from the CDF kitty. Rivals must wait until 2022 to sell their development ideas to the electorates," Onyonka stated.
