Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has asked Raila Odinga to ignore Deputy President William Ruto because he (DP Ruto) has little to do with problems facing the party internally.
"The former Prime Minister need not to be emotional to continue firing back at DP Ruto who celebrated after party candidates lost in Ugenya and Embakasi South by-elections. This is because DP Ruto has nothing to do with the problems the party may be having internally," he said.
Maangi noted that Raila should focus on strengthening the party instead of taking more of his precious time to engage DP Ruto.
He denied claims that DP Ruto bankrolled the campaigns which saw ODM candidates lose in the mini polls.
"Ruto had no hand in the Ugenya and Embakasi South polls as it being claimed. The residents in the respective areas made a choice which was suitable for them. People should stop giving DP Ruto credit who is busy with Jubilee party affairs," he stated.
The county's second in command argued that ODM party supporters should not be shaken over the recent loss.
Maangi was speaking on Wednesday at Kisii County headquarters.
