For the past few days, the Garissa Township legislator Aden Duale has maintained a low profile, leave alone failing to comment on the growing rift in his Jubilee party.
Ever since the party's former deputy chairperson David Murathe issued a bombshell on DP Ruto's 2022 race to the statehouse, Duale has remained mum, a thing that has since sparked rife speculations as to whether he was on the process of initiating a 'betrayal' against his long-time friend William Ruto.
However, reports indicate the Majority Leader is currently in his Garissa home spending time with his family after a week-long assignment at the United Kingdom together with other elected leaders from Garissa county government.
Efforts to get a comment from him via his official social media pages by this writer hit a dead end as he never responded to the inquiries.
Similarly, calls and SMS messages did not receive any positive response.
Just a few days ago, Duale posted a photo of himself online praying and called on Kenyans to seek divine intervention for the new year 2019.
