Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is currently in London, United Kingdom.
Accompanied by a delegation led by Changamwe MP Omar Mwinyi, former Kisauni MP Rashid Bedzimba and Advisor Suleiman Mwaguya, Governor Joho met Mayor Royal Borough of Greenwich and Labour Councillor Representing Middle Park and Sutcliffe Ward, Christine May.
She was officially installed as the new Mayor for the Royal Borough of Greenwich in June 2018.
The governor disclosed that the two discussed possible partnership between Mombasa County and the Greater London that will bring direct benefits to Mombasa residents.
"Our discussion centered on partnership between Mombasa County and the Greater London that will bring direct benefits to our people," Joho disclosed on Thursday.
Governor Joho also engaged with the local community and discussed building city resilience and countering violent extremism.
On his part, Bedzimba visited Charlton Athletic Football Club, one of the oldest clubs in the UK established 1906 in a bid to promote sports in the Coastal city.
"I visited player's changing room 'The Valley', board room and a museum. I was delighted to sign their VIP special book and discuss ways of scouting talented players for a trial scheme," said Bedzimba, before visiting Manchester Football Academy on Thursday.
The former lawmaker pledged to ensure that everything he learned is replicated in Mombasa .
