Kuppet Uasin Gishu branch Secretary-General Elijah Maiyo has termed some of the policies as dictatorial.

Speaking in Eldoret on Wednesday during the ongoing form one selection exercise for the North Rift region, Maiyo pointed out that a policy requiring students to get admission letters from the ministry's head office in Nairobi is ill intended.

"We cannot accept such a policy. Form one selection should be done at the county level so that the letters are given to the students by the school or at their respective county education offices," said Maiyo.

He further qestioned a policy requiring national schools to admit a maximum of 48 students while the county schools are required to admit 55 students.

"Why should a school that performed well be given a small number of students to admit compared to those that don't do well? We should make it 45 students for all the schools, be it national or county," noted Maiyo.
