Questioning Mudavadi's political clout in Western Kenya, the self-described bullfighter fired at Mudavadi, calling him a creation of the KANU era, a 'test tube' politician.

Khalwale was speaking in reaction to an alleged claim Mudavadi made about the former Senator that he had joined Ruto for money.

"If I was the material worth dismissing, he would not have taken the trouble to speak to it. I want to remind my brother not to take it easy and not to become desperate, he should take it easy and relax... We know, those of us who come from his backyard that he came from the Nyayo laboratories that created political test tube babies, he is one such baby. He's not a self-made leader born naturally like some of us, " Khalwale fired.

Khalwale ditched Moses Wetangula's Ford-Kenya and joined the ranks of high-profile Jubilee supporters, proclaiming support for the presidential ambitions of Deputy President Dr William Ruto in 2022.

Khalwale had been a staunch critic of the DP by questioning his source of wealth before jumping ship.
