Murkomen who is Jumwa's lawyer in the expulsion case, slammed the party saying Aisha Jumwa is a victim of political extremism and banditry.

The former Kilifi woman representative was expelled on Friday, March 1, following a special NGC 2019 meeting that saw Odinga, Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, Chairman John Mbadi among others in attendance.

Jumwa was expelled for gross misconduct after she publicly declared her political support for Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid but according to Murkomen, she will not leave the party.

Murkomen said he will ensure the embattled lawmaker gets legal redress from the Judicial system over the matter.

"Even in the days of Baba na Mama the President never demanded to be worshipped in the manner that the ODM dictator is demanding of party members. Thank God for our judicial order because Hon. Aisha is going nowhere," said the lawyer hours after the official expulsion.

Jumwa who is a popular politician across the coastal region, blamed her party tribulations on Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, saying he was misusing his position as a governor and ODM deputy party leader.
