A fatal accident at the Eveready roundabout in Nakuru, along Nakuru-Eldoret highway, has left two prison officers and an inmate dead.

According to witnesses, a prison truck which was ferrying cereals had a mechanical problem which saw its breaks fail.

It rammed into several vehicles.
