Bulding Bridges Initiative would after all turn to be President Uhuru Kenyatta's sword to tame his resilient deputy William Ruto, it has emerged.
In a series of functions in Gusii over the weekend, Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati reiterated that Ruto is not part of Uhuru's 2022 plan.
"We should all be ready for constitutional changes. That's part of the handshake and we better get used to it.
"Raila will be President while Uhuru will be the Prime Minister and Kenya will be more stable," claimed Arati, a close ally of Uhuru.
In separate functions a fortnight ago, Arati accompanied both Uhuru and Raila when they toured Kisii and Nyamira Counties.
But a resilient Ruto on Friday at Tendere, said he's aware of 'dark forces' but vowed to defeat them on ballot.
"They are spreading fake news, opinion polls and headlines but we shall defeat them. We shall move to people," he fired back.
The blossoming relationship between Raila and Uhuru has caused jitters within Jubilee with a section of Ruto's allies accusing the former of divisive politics.
