Residents of Tabaka ward in South Mugirango constituency, Kisii County have confirmed that they are ready to receive Deputy President William Ruto on Friday, March 15, 2019.
The locals said they will turn up in large numbers to give DP Ruto a heroic welcome.
"This is not the time for people to play dirty politics but, time for leaders to work. Those opposed to DP Ruto's visit on Friday should choose to remain in their houses," said a local Catherine Omambia.
Rebekah Moraa appealed to women mostly small scale traders to show up and welcome DP Ruto.
"We want development and not divisive politics. Our MP Mr Osoro is doing a great job working with all leaders irrespective of their political affiliations," she noted.
Peter Onderi stated that DP Ruto's visit is based on development but, not 2022 general elections.
"Some desperate individuals are telling lies about DP Ruto's visit. He is coming to Tabaka ward for development purposed but, no campaigning ahead of 2022," said Mr Onderi.
Area MCA Daniel Apepo said it is not a crime for DP Ruto to visit Kisii region.
