In an interview on KTN’s Checkpoint on Sunday, Haji who hails from Garissa, however, said that he is not shaken.

Haji said that he is used to receiving threats. “I am not afraid because I have had threats even before I got the DPP job,” he said.

DPP Haji has in recent days arraigned top government officials in court over corruption.

In August Haji ordered the arrest and prosecution of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu over corruption charges.

The DPP’s security especially at his NSSF building in Nairobi and counties has been beefed up.

More security personnel were deployed to Haji’s office in early August.

Haji says he is not afraid and will go for the ‘small fish’, ‘big fish and even the ‘whales’ in war against graft.

The man from Garissa further says that his office is independent and does not take instructions from anyone.
