Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka remarks on the extension of Presidential term limit have not augured well with a good percentage of Kenyans.
Activist Boniface Mwangi, who has been vocal on matters of national interest, now claims that Kalonzo is worshipping President Uhuru Kenyatta because he doesn’t want to be pinned down over land grabbing accusations levelled against him.
Mwangi said that Kalonzo, who is considered one of the front-runners in the race for Presidency in 2022, has been linked to the grabbing of a piece of land belonging to the National Youth Service (NYS). He said that Kalonzo wants to be protected by the Head of State over the same.
“One of the reasons Kalonzo Musyoka is worshipping Uhuru Kenyatta is because he doesn't want to lose the land he stole from NYS” he said via his Twitter account on Thursday.
Kalonzo, also Wiper leader, has on several occasions denied claims that he is a land grabber. He has been faulting his political rivals of using underhand tactics to weaken him.
The Ukambani political kingpin has maintained that nothing will distract him from the race for Presidency even as he faces rebellion at his backyard.
Governors Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Charity Ngilu of Kitui want Kalonzo to pave way for another politician from the community to go for Presidency.
