A suit is one of those outfits that makes a man look classy. But more often than not, some of the suits really do a disservice to men because of their "anatomy".

For a suit to look good on you, you must have an upright and relaxed pose. Even a well-fitted suit could appear horrible if one does not have the required pose for it.

A suit requires a confident posture and walking style. However, the suit itself must possess the following to qualify as a well-fitted garment:

1.Well-fitted shoulders

The shoulders should be well aligned and not extend beyond the hand joint, such that it now looks buggy. The shoulders should lie flat, taking the shape of the body and not appearing swollen or rather raised up too much.

2. Smooth drape back

The back of the pants shouldn't appear to be sagging nor should it be too tight that it forms a v-shape, which makes it even uncomfortable to walk.

3. The length

The pants should at least have one horizontal break at the bottom or if not, slightly touch the shoe.

Two breaks onward make the suit untidy and certainly not presentable. However, if the pants are too much above the shoe, it erases the decency and smartness of the look.

This has, however, been adopted by some fashionistas as a new design.

4. The sleeve

The length of the sleeve should be such that it touches the joint between the palm and the hand.

It should be slightly above the shirt, in such a way that the one or the first two buttons of the shirt can be seen.

It should also be fitting but not too tight. You should be able to move in it with ease.

5. Chest-stomach area

A great suit should bring out a perfect v-shape at the chest going down without any improper folding.

When buttoned, it should be perfectly aligned with the body from the back to the front. If it appears buggy at the back or sides, it simply means it’s oversize and will thus need some adjustments by the tailor.

If a suit has a three-piece coat, the other coat should be fitting enough, so that one does not look overdressed with the inside half-coat.

The half-coat should always be buttoned as it brings out a sense of class and perfection of the outfit.
