Mr Tabichi, who had taken a brief break from social media, bounced back with a special prayer in which he asked God for strength and guidance throughout his life.

"Lord, Make me an instrument of peace, where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy," he wrote.

"O divine Master, grant that I may not so much sick to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in GIVING that we RECEIVE, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

So inspiring was his victory that President Uhuru Kenyatta lauded his commitment to uplift education standards in the country. The Head of State gifted Tabichi's Keriko Secondary School Sh20 million which will be used to improve infrastructure.

On his part, Tabichi has promised to build a laboratory for his school besides promising to sponsor more needy students from the surrounding community. He shall receive Sh10 million annually.

On Saturday, Tabichi is expected to return to Nyamira where he will be officially be received by the county leadership. A big ceremony, Kemera MCA George Morara says, shall be held at Mokorongosi in his honour.
