Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives have arrested two Nairobi County officers and two imposters while receiving an alleged bribe.
The suspects were receiving an agreed bribe of Sh60,000 at Spring Valley, Westlands on Thursday afternoon.
The suspect were captured in a video during their arrest.
According to a post on Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko's official Facebook page, the bribe was meant for the issuance of fake single business permit licence. More so, the officers were to provide free county services to the imposters.
According to Nairobi boss, officers had earlier demeaned Sh100,000 which after negotiation drop to Sh60,000.
"More County staff are expected to be arrested in connection with this unethical behaviour as it involved a big chain of senior cashiers, accountants and auditors from the county." Mike Sonko noted in part of his post.
This comes barely hours after former lawmaker Dunson Buya Mungatana alongside 6 others were arrested on Thursday morning.
The suspects are alleged to have fraudulently paid Sh51,569,778 to private companies. It later emerged they never delivered any goods or provided services to Kilifi County Government.
The suspects were to be charged for fraudulent acquisition of public property, proceeds of crime and false document.
EACC is still pursuing 14 other suspects on the same probe.
