Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has responded to the Deputy President William Ruto's condolence messages.

Ruto had visited the Wiper leader in his Kitui home following his father Peter Musyoka Mairu's demise on Sunday morning.

After the DP visited Kalonzo and condoled with him, he tweeted about the visit.

“Condoled with @skmusyoka, Nairobi County," Ruto tweeted.

Kalonzo has responded to the Deputy President's visit and messages of condolence.

He thanked Ruto for going beyond political rivalry to comfort him.

Kalonzo urged Kenyans never to be divided into political lines.

“Thank you @WilliamsRuto for condoling with us, this is very comforting, political differences should never divide us as a people,” read @skmusyoka tweet.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had also sent messages of condolence to his running mate in the 2017 elections.

Raila prayed for God’s comfort for the family during this tough time.

He assured Kalonzo that they are together in grief.

“Pole sana my brother @skmusyoka following the passing on of your Father Mzee Peter Musyoka Mairu. We share in your grief. May God grant comfort to your family at this trying moment,’ @RailaOdinga wrote.
