Lamu Governor Fahim Twaha has urged the youth to invest in entrepreneurial skills.

While issuing a cheque of Sh1,449,000 to 70 students of Vocational Training students, Twaha assured the youth of his administration's support in developing themselves.

The cheque was issued on Tuesday, for the students' internship programme in Nairobi.

The governor indicated that Lamu county will employ 1,000 youth within the financial year to be deployed and clean different part of the county besides sponsoring 1,000 youth to benefit from free driving.

Touching on his Manifesto, Governor Twaha highlighted that a whooping Sh120 million has already been allocated for NHIF to benefit 20,000 families across the County.

His administration has also allocated funds for the Agriculture sector to purchase 10 farming tractors, fertilizers and seeds.

According to Twaha, 5,000 tittle deeds will be issued annually across the coastal county.
