Kisii County Governor James Ongwae who is perceived to be a close ally to NASA leader Raila Odinga has suffered a major blow after residents of Keumbu in Nyabirbari Chache constituency told him off over his planned tour to the region.
Locals mostly traders led by former Councillor Hesbon Michira said the Governor's trip will not help residents in any way.
"We don't want Governor Ongwae to come here and continue lying to us. He should know as voters we are tired of his lies since he promised to construct a bus stop at Keumbu a promise which has never been fulfilled until today," said Michira.
Angered Michira threatened to mobilize locals to stone the ODM allied Governor's motorcade when he will visit the region.
"We have agreed to keep off Ongwae using all means from visiting the region to tell lies. Let him first fulfill his promises to set up the matatu stop to ease congestion of people and matatus entering and leaving Keumbu," he added.
Evans Amenya said locals are not ready for unnecessary trips by the county boss.
"No one is willing to attend Ongwae's function given that he has not fulfilled most of his promises. He should keep off Keumbu," said Amenya.
