Speaking during the closing ceremony of the first inter-professional summit at PrideInn Paradise Hotel in Mombasa on Friday, Musalia said massive runaway graft has weakened the Kenyan economy.

He noted that billions are being lost each day while citing the proposed 57 dams project.  The politician, who has been very vocal o matters of national interest, also said that the Jubilee government is taking advantage of the projects to loot what belongs to the tax payer.

He claimed that the Uhuru-led government has failed Kenyans as far as fighting graft is concerned. He insisted that more needs to be done to save public resources from perennial looters.

“Can anyone here or elsewhere point out a major economy or country anywhere in the world that has committed to such a target over the same time frame. The spin-off is that the dams were always designed to be conduits for graft,” he said, as quoted by Capital FM.

He also urged Kenyans to stand up and support the current regime in the war against graft. He further said that the various projects established by the Jubilee government will not benefit Kenyans at the end of the day because they are plots to siphon public funds at the end of the day.
