The Society's vice chairman Peter Mulili said some of the members sell the parcels of land which they inherited from their parents immediately sub-divisions are done.

Mulili told the members to find ways of either developing or putting their parcels of land into productive usage.

He said some of the residents rush to sell parcels of land allocated to them at a throw away price.

Mulili said the members should opt for leasing their parcels to other residents who intend to develop them instead of selling.

"I would like to ask next of kins to avoid selling the land given to them. Even if you wish to do so badly, just lease the land and earn cash," Muli said.

He addressed the members at Tala town in Matungulu Sub-county on Monday.

Mulili told the locals to take advantage of River Athi's close proximity to practice horticulture farming and use the water for irrigation.

He also said they can alternatively construct rental houses as business.

Mulili thanked the national government for the title deeds they were given last two years.

He said three quarters of the members have received their title deeds.

Mulili asked for the remaining lot to be accorded title deeds, just like the others.

"We are happy that most of our members have title deeds, we are asking the government to ensure that the remaining ones get theirs," he said.
