Celine, real name Catherine Muthoni, is Kamaru’s sister and was featured in one of Kamaru’s hit songs, ‘Hingura murango’, where she was featured as an adulterer.

The song is an artistic piece where drama arose in Makadara when a man came home and found his wife with another man (in a single room with no place he could hide).

After the door was forced open, the man was hauled from under the bed and was almost knifed to death, but the headman intervened and saved him.

Speaking to K24, the elderly artist said she reminded President Uhuru of his young days at their Ichaweri home in Gatundu where he would go and ‘steal’ sodas for her.

Celina and her brother Kamaru, were apparently frequent visitors at the home where they were entertaining Uhuru’s father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

She said Uhuru was so amused after she jogged his memory.
