Desmond Otieno, better known as 'Wamama' thanks to his social media exploits that catapulted him onto the public consciousness, was not born normally.
Unlike other children who take nine months in their mothers' wombs, 'Wamama' took more.
According to his mother Margaret Anyango, the self-described king of women took over three years in her womb.
What's more, he was born without teeth.
The teeth he has now came thanks to well-wishers.
"Desmond Otieno is my second child among my children. I would have heard 16 children but seven died. He stayed in the womb for more than two years. He was born toothless... It's God's miracle," his mother said during an interview with Ebru television.
Desmond was born in 1988 in the Korogocho slums in Nairobi, the second-born of nine siblings.
He became a darling of women on social media because of his posts on groups dominated by female users during his stint in Oman, a Arab country on the South-Eastern coast of the Arabian peninsula.
Wamama is now a household name.
Both his parents are alive and are proud of what he has become.
In Oman, he worked as a toilet cleaner where he was paid Sh10,000 shillings.
He was to work as a cook but the employer changed his mind because he lacked teeth.
