Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has called upon investigative agencies to investigate Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi.
Speaking on Monday, Sifuna accused Sudi of making reckless and inciting remarks while speaking during a fundraiser in Uasin Gishu County on Sunday.
He took issue with the MP's claims that the first against graft is aimed at a member of the Kalenjin community, adding that his threat that they will counter the people behind it amounts to incitement which might result in ethnic clashes.
"When Ruto was supporting the former premier, nobody branded him as a thief, similar to when they worked together with Kenyatta but why is it that when he has declared interest in the top seat, he is being fought. We know those who are leading in theft in the country and we are willing to speak about it, time will tell,” said Sudi.
Speaking in an interview on Radio Maisha on Monday morning, the former Nairobi senatorial hopeful called upon investigative agencies to arrest and launch a probe into Sudi's remarks.
"He should be nabbed and investigated for making suspicious remarks. Such remarks can lead to tribal suspicion and even instability and should not be condoned," he said.
He stressed on the need for Kenyans to utter words aimed at uniting the nation and not widening the rift already in existence between sections of Kenyans.
