It is important to check the expiry date on every item you buy form the shop or supermarket. Most people only check the expiry date on food stuffs only and forget about other things. Here are some of the household things you also need to check their date of expiry.
Towels
Most people don't realize that towels also expire. You don't need to see molds for you to know that it has expired. If you use a towel for more than two years, then you are using an expired towel. Using a towel for more than three years is not hygienic.
Tooth brush
When you look at your toothbrush after some months and see that it still strong and can be used for another months, then you are very wrong. A toothbrush is supposed to be used for only three months ans more than that, it is an expired one.
Power strips
Take care not to burn down your house due to this. Even if you trust the quality of your strip, you need to change it from time to time. It can on be used for a period of one to two years.
Pillows
For how long have you used your pillow? I don't need an answer because you know it yourself. If you have a pillow which when you wake up you experience neck pain, then it is trying to tell you that it is tired and needs to be exchanged with another one. This comes after two to three years depending on the quality of the pillow.
Disinfectants
Disinfectants like hydrogen peroxide can only be used for three months or less. More than three months, the disinfectant will have lost its effectiveness and quality.
