Women especially those married in Kisii County have been encouraged to always be vigilant so as to know when men will attack them.
Kisii Governor James Ongwae while speaking on Tuesday when he launched the county action plan on preventing and countering violent extremism regretted that cases of men attacking women are at the peak in the county.
He called for vigilance among women so that they can be able to escape from their houses when men will plan to attack them.
"Women need to be alert because they are the most assaulted in the region. Being alert will mean men's plan to beat their wives won't work because the women will escape for men to miss their target," Ongwae said.
The county boss also challenged police officers across the county to ensure no assault incident among locals goes unsolved adding that several people have died in the county as a result of the assault.
"Fighting each other is not recommended. It is advisable for people to find alternative means of solving their problems instead of fighting," he maintained.
Ongwae further warned men against being alcoholic something he said makes men assault their wives.
