Jumwa on Saturday challenged the CS to state what he knows over the multi-million saga that has gripped the country's attention.

Speaking in Trans Nzoia County, she said National Assembly Security Committee will summon Matiang'i to comprehensively tell the country what he knows about the scandal, failure to which they will recommend his sacking.

“If he (CS Matiang’i) fails to tell the Committee what he knows about the gold scam then he does not deserve to be in charge of the internal security docket,” the vocal legislator stated.

Jumwa further took issue with the CS following reports that police were allegedly guarding a home of one of the suspects who has been arrested over the gold saga.

“How can you use the General Service Unit to safeguard the home of those involved in criminal activity?” she posed, adding that Matiang'i has seven days to respond.

However, Thuku has urged the CS to dismiss the threats, adding he will never forgive him if answers the legislator.

"If Dr Fred Matiangi - with all his dignity and status - opens his mouth or writes anything to respond to Aisha Jumwa, I will be so so disappointed, I will never forgive him. There are those people you don't respond to even if the shouted from Mt Kenya," Thuku, a former journalist tweeted.
