On Monday, she decided to visit him at the police post.

She was then told that the suspect had been transferred to Central Police Station in Nakuru. She visited the facility but did not find him.

She left her contacts only to be called later and told that her husband committed suicide.

“I just call for justice and the government should come clear on what transpired leading to the death of my husband,” Wambui said.

The distraught mother, who has been left with three children aged nine, six and one, says her husband was their only hope in life.

“He was the sole breadwinner of the family and I can’t imagine how life will be. I just want justice to prevail,” she said of her 32-year-old husband.

Teachers Police Post directed us to the Central police station OCPD Samuel Obara.Obara refused to comment on the issue.

"My standard is clear I can't address the press since one media house misquoted me over a past story. Not until I get an apology from that particular media house, I will stick to that," said the OCPD.
