An ODM politician from Gusii region has supported President Uhuru Kenyatta's Monday remarks that he should be left alone to work for Kenyans.
Samuel Omwando said the Head of State should not allow few individuals within his Jubilee party to compromise him.
"I am happy that President Kenyatta told off people like Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria. Uhuru should work for all Kenyans and not Central Kenya region alone," said Omwando.
The vocal politician reiterated the need for other politicians to follow the president's footsteps in serving the electorates.
He argued that elected leaders from Gusii region must step up efforts to champion for development.
"Now that the Head of State is leading by example, I am appealing to Gusii leaders to copy what the president is doing for the sake of boosting the livelihoods of our people. All regions irrespective of how residents voted during the August 8, 2017 must be developed," he added.
Omwando who unsuccessfully vied for the Kitutu Chache South MP seat urged President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga to work around the clock to unite Kenyans.
